Simulation of Power and the Energy time relationship
This simulation helps GCSE Physics students explore the relationship P = E ÷ t interactively. Students adjust energy (J) and time (s) using sliders and instantly see the calculated power (W) update, along with a visual representation of how many 60 W light bulbs that power could run. It directly supports the AQA, OCR, and Edexcel GCSE Physics specification topic on Energy — Power, where students are required to recall and apply the equation P = E/t, understand that power is the rate of energy transfer, and use Watts as the unit of power. The bulb visualiser grounds an abstract formula in a familiar real-world context, making it especially effective for building conceptual understanding alongside calculation skills.
