Simulation of Solar panel electricity generation

Use the simulation in your science or Physics class to illustrate conversion of solar energy to electricity

Two sliders control everything: Sunlight (0–100%) and Cloud (None → Storm cloud). Four weather buttons jump to preset conditions.

As you change them, you watch beams of light fall from the Sun onto the roof — thinning out as cloud thickens — the panel glass brighten or dull, charge run down the cable to the meter, and the house windows dim. The sky greys over with the light.

A large board in the garden carries the only numbers: LIGHT IN (W/m²) and ELECTRICITY OUT (W, with a bar out of 2000 W).

The physics: power = light on panels × 10 m² × 20% efficiency. Full midday sun gives 2000 W; halve the light and you halve the power; a storm cloud cuts it to 164 W.
