Terms of Service – ClassAdapt

Welcome to ClassAdapt (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ClassAdapt platform and services.
By accessing or using ClassAdapt, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

1. Description of Service
ClassAdapt provides an educational platform that helps teachers adapt lesson materials to support different learning needs.
Teachers create accounts and use the platform to generate adapted learning resources.
Students may access learning materials through links shared by teachers.
2. Eligibility
You must be:
- At least 18 years old, or
- Using the platform in a professional educational capacity
Teachers are responsible for supervising student use of shared lesson links.
Students do not create accounts on ClassAdapt.
3. Teacher Accounts
Teachers must sign in using Google authentication.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep access to your Google account secure
- Accept responsibility for activity under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the platform.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use ClassAdapt to:
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform
- Disrupt or interfere with service operation
- Share class links publicly in a way that compromises safeguarding
We may remove content or restrict access if misuse is detected.
5. Intellectual Property
ClassAdapt and all related software, branding, and platform features remain the property of ClassAdapt.
Teachers retain rights to their original uploaded lesson content.
By using the platform, you grant ClassAdapt a limited licence to process and adapt content in order to provide the service.
6. Student Access
Students access learning materials via links generated by teachers.
Students do not register or create accounts.
Teachers are responsible for:
- Managing distribution of access links
- Ensuring appropriate classroom use
ClassAdapt is not responsible for how links are shared outside intended educational settings.
7. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Compatibility with all devices or browsers
We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClassAdapt shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of data or teaching materials
- Classroom disruption resulting from technical issues
- Decisions made based on adapted content
Use of the platform is at your own risk.
9. Termination
You may stop using ClassAdapt at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are breached
- The platform is misused
- Legal or security risks arise
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
We will update the Effective Date when changes are made.
Continued use of the platform means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of UK courts.
