Simulation of electric circuit and Ohm’s law- resistor, voltmeter, ammeter

Simple Electric Circuit Simulation showing the work of a resistor, voltmeter, ammeter in a circuit

What it shows: A simple series circuit — battery, resistor, ammeter, and voltmeter connected by copper cables. Electrons (green dots) flow around the loop. Crank up voltage or drop resistance and they speed up instantly. The resistor glows red as it heats up under load.

Try this with students:

  1. Keep V fixed, raise R — watch current drop and electrons slow. Ask: why does the resistor “resist”?
  2. Max voltage + minimum resistance — resistor turns red. Discuss power dissipation as heat (P = I²R).
  3. Find two combinations that give the same current — introduces the idea that V and R together determine I, not either alone.
  4. Predict before you slide — give students V and R values, ask them to calculate I first, then verify on screen.
