At ClassAdapt, we believe accessibility should be built into educational software from the start, not added as an afterthought. Our mission is to remove the barriers that prevent pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from fully engaging with GCSE Science.
Few months ago, we were delighted to receive recognition from Geo Applied Realities (Auckland, New Zealand), a specialist organisation focused on advanced data visualisation and simulation technologies. Following the release of our Earth gravitational fields simulation, they highlighted the platform’s accessibility-first approach, noting features such as high-contrast viewing, dyslexia-friendly spacing, reading rulers and a clean, intuitive interface.
Their feedback reflects a core principle behind ClassAdapt: complex scientific concepts should be accessible to all learners.
Why Accessibility Must Be Built In
Many science simulations are designed primarily for subject accuracy, with accessibility features added later, if at all. For pupils who experience visual stress, reading difficulties, attention challenges or other learning needs, this can create unnecessary barriers to learning.
ClassAdapt takes a different approach. Accessibility features are integrated directly into every simulation, allowing pupils to personalise their learning experience instantly.

Recognition from organisations such as Geo Applied Realities reinforces the importance of designing educational technology around inclusion from the outset. It also aligns with the feedback we have received from teachers and school pilots, where accessible, adaptive learning experiences have helped increase engagement and participation.
